Construction Training Tech Prep represents these six apprenticeship programs:

• Floorlayer
• Operating Engineer
• Cement Mason
• Iron Worker
• Laborer

        If you are interested in one of these areas of construction, our job is to help YOU become successful.

       Tech Prep can:

• Provide YOU and your school with information and resources to help You decide if one of these areas is right for You
• Provide Your school with curriculum materials they can use to help You prepare for entry into one of these apprenticeships
• Provide a linkage between Your high school and the apprenticeship programs
• Help You choose high school courses that will help meet the requirements for entry as an apprentice
• Help You enroll in a Community College to complete an Associate of Applied Science Degree while you are in an apprenticeship program
• Provide You with names of people that can help you transfer your two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree to a four-year institution.

         By taking technical training while in high school YOU can be a step up on the Construction Trades career ladder and may be qualified to test out of some beginning "skill blocks" when entering an apprenticeship program.
